vClipboard is built to be private by design. This policy explains what data is involved when you use https://vclipboard.com.
What we collect
We do not collect your clipboard contents. Texts, images, PDFs, documents and other items you save in vClipboard are stored only in your own browser, in IndexedDB. They are never uploaded to our servers.
We do not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email or payment details.
Where your data lives
- Clips → your browser's IndexedDB, on your device only.
- Settings (auto-save on or off, auto-delete time) → your browser's localStorage, on your device only.
- Site files → a service-worker cache in your browser, so the app can open offline.
If you clear your browser data, use a private window, or switch device, your clips will not be there. Clips are not encrypted, so anyone who can use your browser profile can see them. Avoid saving secrets on a shared computer.
Clipboard access
vClipboard reads your clipboard only when you ask it to: when you press Ctrl+V or Cmd+V on the page, click Paste, or turn on auto-save and grant your browser's clipboard permission. With auto-save on, it reads the clipboard when you return to the tab while the page is visible. What it reads is saved on your device only. You can turn auto-save off at any time, or revoke the permission in your browser's site settings.
Third-party scripts
To preview spreadsheets and Word documents, vClipboard loads two open-source libraries (SheetJS and Mammoth) the first time you preview such a file. They are loaded from this site if a local copy has been installed, otherwise from public CDNs (cdn.sheetjs.com and unpkg.com), which can see your IP address and ordinary request details. The libraries run in your browser and your file contents are not sent to us or to the CDNs.
Server logs, cookies and tracking
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) for security and operation. vClipboard sets no cookies itself and uses no advertising or analytics trackers. We do not sell data. If this changes, this page will be updated.

Children
The service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
